Barbudas Surfboards
Located in Aljezur, on the wonderful southwest of Portugal, Barbudas Surfboards is a small company that focus purely and entirely on custom handcrafted boards, taylor made and designed for each client by one single person from start to finish. Always using the best and most sustainable materials available.
Handplaines, skateboards, surfboards and experimental gliding concepts, the final result is the reflection of a long obsession to the visual appearance and functionality of each product.
Shaper
I've always felt an inner obligation to understand how things work and adapt them to my needs. When I was introduced to surfing things took a completely new dimension. Got instantly captivated by the different set of skills and amount of knowledge necessary to actually create a surfboard.
Having a simple rule in everything I do, "Always take the time you need to do something you are proud of", brought me to the path of purely handcrafted boards.
Constantly learning and testing different shapes, technics and materials, aiming to improve constantly with everything I do and everybody I meet. Simply to get the best possible result for each single surfer.
